Creating a baby registry can feel like a whirlwind. There’s excitement and anticipation and so many options! Let’s be honest, there’s also a little bit of “what do I actually need?” That’s exactly why I’ve put together this thorough baby registry checklist. Whether you’re a first-time parent or updating the essentials, this list has it all. It’s available in a downloadable checklist to make it easy for you to track. Use the checklist to add things to your registry, or to track items you receive/want. It’s up to you!
Below are some of my essentials and I’ve listed a high-end version, a mid-range pick, and a budget-friendly option. Because yes, you can totally mix and match! For some things (like a car seat), you might want the top-of-the-line model. For others (like burp cloths), the affordable set that gets the job done is perfect.
My hope is that this list brings you a sense of calm and confidence. There’s a lot of noise out there when it comes to baby gear. However, your registry doesn’t have to be overwhelming. So go ahead, pour yourself a cup of tea (or a glass of sparkling water—you deserve it!), download the checklist, and start building a registry that works for you. Whether you’re adding items for baby number one, or rounding out your essentials for baby number two or three. This guide was built with real families—and real life—in mind.
*Some Items in this checklist are starred (*) because they were featured in my blog post: Practical Baby Shower Gifts.
